Frequently Asked Questions
Are your cupcakes made in a facility that also processes allergens?
Yes. Our cupcakes are produced in a facility that also handles soy, milk, eggs, and tree nuts (walnuts) on shared equipment. Strict allergen control and sanitation procedures are followed between production runs. Please see our full Allergen Declaration below.
How do you prevent cross-contact with allergens in your facility?
Food safety is extremely important to us. Our cupcakes are made in a facility with a formal, FDA-aligned allergen control program. The facility follows strict procedures for ingredient handling, production scheduling, and sanitation to minimize the risk of cross-contact between allergens. This includes:
- Dedicated allergen storage and clear labeling of all ingredients
- Trained staff who receive regular allergen-awareness and sanitation training
- Thorough cleaning and inspection of equipment between production runs
- Verified allergen cleaning procedures, including routine validation testing
- Careful label review to ensure accurate allergen declarations
Why do I see two different branding labels for your cupcakes?
You may notice two different labels in stores. This is simply due to a brand refresh and packaging update. While the look has changed, the cupcake itself remains the same, still made without eggs or dairy, and still the same great recipe you love.
I used to find your cupcakes in the freezer. Why are they now on the bakery tables?
Great question! As we grow with Publix, our cupcakes are now displayed on the bakery nesting tables so they’re easier to find and ready to enjoy right away. Same cupcakes, same recipe, just a more convenient shopping experience.
Are the cupcakes still fresh if they’re not frozen?
Yes. Our cupcakes are delivered frozen to lock in freshness, then thawed and displayed on the bakery tables so you can enjoy them immediately.
How long do your cupcakes stay fresh on the bakery tables?
Our cupcakes are delivered frozen and then thawed and dated for in-store display. The “Best By” date reflects the freshness window for ambient bakery items (typically 3 days). For best taste and texture, we recommend enjoying them by that date.
Are your cupcakes dairy-free and vegan?
Yes! Our cupcakes are made without dairy, eggs, or any animal-derived ingredients.
Do your cupcakes contain eggs or soy?
Our cupcakes do not contain eggs or any animal by-products. They do contain soy, as some ingredients (such as vegetable oil) are soy-derived.
Are your cupcakes kosher?
Yes, our cupcakes are certified kosher.
Do your cupcakes contain artificial colors or flavors?
No. We do not use artificial colors or artificial flavors. All flavors are natural, and our strawberry cupcakes are made with real strawberries.
Why does your label mention bioengineered ingredients?
Many everyday foods use plant-based oils like canola that come from bioengineered crops, which is why this is disclosed on labels. The oil is highly refined and does not contain DNA or protein from the plant. We believe in full transparency so you can enjoy our cupcakes with confidence, knowing they’re made with the same trusted ingredients found in many brands you already love.
